Change of plans
Due to group problems, we are running out of time to film. We shall instead film around Newport and not Cambridge. We shall take practice shots tomorrow and film all our footage as we have 2 media lessons, we shall film with Will and Emily because Lewis Mokler not answering us, then hopefully get everything done by Friday 4th November.
We will be filming some scenes around our school and around Newport on Friday morning, if not sometime on Friday before the evening. We have a media lesson on Friday 4th so hopefully we can finish it then.

Digipack planning amd ideas
For our artist Lewis Mokler, we will be creating a digipack and advert/poster to promote his music. I looked at the Acoustic Magazine website to get some ideas of what adverts look like to promote albums. I also looked at Classic Rock magazine, although there is a bigger range of rock genres, and not much on acoustic music.
On the main page of the website I managed to find an advert promoting an artist called Geoff Watson and his latest album 'The Hurricane Effect', shown below

The layout is quite bold and epic, relating to a 'Hurricane' theme.
There is also information on where the fan can get the album from, here it is available from iTunes or Napster and his website is shown at the bottom.
Possible ideas for digipack
- Picture of artist (Will Mannings)
- Artist leaning against a sign post (Where we filmed in Newport)
- facial close-up
- Pavilion
- Leaning against a brick wall
- Front of face on front cover and back of head on back cover

Last week we decided that we will film our scene in Thaxted on the Friday 21 October
and our filming in Cambridge will take place in October half-term. Unfortunatley, Luke will be on holiday so me and India will do the filming.

Filming Locations
We are going to film the majority of our footage at the Grafton Centre in Cambridge (left), hopefully sometime next week or either on the weekend of the 15/16th October
We have been contacting Lewis Mokler to discuss further plans and we have contacted the Grafton Centre so that we can have permission to film there soon. We are also going to film some footage at a park and at a house
We will only film when we have free periods or after school. We could also film at a weekend.

Risk Assesment for filming in Cambridge and Thaxted

Risk Assesment for Cambridge:
When we film there will be some risks:
- Getting hassled when filming
- Since I have epilepsy, there is a chance that I may have a seizure, although hopefully this shouldn't happen
- Damaging or losing any cameras/props/guitar
- Getting lost, we will take a map or get a guide to Grafton Centre
- If we film during a school week, we will only film when we have free periods or media lessons
To prevent all these, we will have to work safely and look aft
Risk Assesment for Thaxted:
For one element within the music video we are filming a flashback in my house, in thaxted. In order to do this we need to make a risk assestment for our filming.
We need to make sure that when filming in the house we use all the equipment properly and sensibly, assuring that no breakage or damage is caused.
We will not miss any scheduled lessons at school to avoid truency; so we will warn teachers of our lack of presence at school during study periods.
When travelling to my house, we will travel all together if possible, if not we will preplan times and certain ways of travel.
When using any household items we will make sure we are all sensible, for instance the kettle to make sure nobody gets burnt or harmed. Similar to all items to be used we will preplan all usages.
As luke is allergic to cats, when filming we will make sure that all cats are not around, assuring that no allergic reaction can be induced.
As Dan has epilepsy we will make sure that there will be no flashing or bright lights and take all precautions to avoid triggering anything.

Similar artists to Lewis Mokler
One band we found that were quite similar to Lewis Mokler were Plain White Ts. We particular thought that their most well known song 'Hey There Delialah', contained simililar themes of what we want to include in our music video 'Nutella'Plain White T’s are a pop-punk band formed in 1997 in Illinois, United States. They are best known for 'Hey There Delilah', an acoustic song performed solely by singer Tom Higgenson originally released in 2005 and later hit #1 in the US in 2007.

We also have several ideas of what to include in our video:

- Close up shots
- filmed in a bedroom
- playing acoustic guitar
- Isolated performance
- High angle shots
We also wrote down our ideas on an A3 piece of paper (above) and last week we wrote down some more ideas on a whiteboard in our classroom (left)

Lewis Mokler
'Lewis Mokler is a 19 Year Old singer/songwriter from Newmarket which is a small town near Cambridge. Lewis has been on the mainstage singing for Ely xmas lights and has also done Bury Busk. Using an upbeat feel good vibe Lewis writes his own songs and does a few covers these can also be found on youtube as well as his website www.facebook.com/lewismokler.'
"I play the guitar and have a couple of hundred fans I could bring along. I would very much like a chance to play at as many venues as I can. I have a real passion for music and just need a springboard into bigger things other than busking - so if any bars, pubs, clubs or festivals read this advert I would really appreciate an email or phone call."
After some more research, we decided that Hope And Social would be too complicated to film, so we found Lewis Mokler (right), whose music was much more suitable for what we wanted
The song we chose was 'Nutella'.
